Road to recovery, insanity(choyyy) and supple skin.

I felt much better when I wake up this morning.
Headaches and body-aches are gone.
BUT.....Flu, cough and sore throat remains.
Yet, I felt rejuvenated this morning.(Don't ask me why.)
I felt energetic and not sleepy at all.

Anyway, I do not know if I should consult a doctor regarding my sleeping pattern.
I think I'm down with mild(or maybe major) insomnia.
Eventhough I turn in at 9pm, I will toss and turn in bed, falling asleep only around 12+am or 1+am.

In bed, I will be thinking about this and that, day dreaming about this and that, and occassionally, pretending to be the girlfriend/fiance/wife of Chris Daughtry, David Cook, Josh Dhumel (but strangely not Wentworth Miller; guess I grew out of it =_='), and other imaginary guys I created in my weird whirlpool mess of a brain.
(And no, I don't do 'stuffs' when I pretend to be the girlfriend/fiance/wife of the likes above. I just have it role played in my mind.)

Ok, I just scared myself.
I hope this is not a sign of me crossing over to the cuckoo land.
I think it's nothing and that it's just me thinking too much even when I'm supposed to be sleeping.
I hope.

Okay, enough of Huda the insomniac.

This morning, I decided to go makeup free.
Frankly, I have never go to work without makeup before, even through out my poly years.
But now, thanks to the glorious SK-II, my skin is more suppled then ever.
It boosts my confidence to go makeup free and let my skin breathe.
Yey and hail(ok, drama I know)to the founder of SK-II.

Rini called me last night and told me that she received a birthday card from SK-II and the card includes a $88 facial voucher.
How cool is that??
So jealous.
*Major hair flips and roll eyes*
Hahaha.

Bye bye.

A slow day indeed.

I'm at work, in the computer lab and I'm down with flu, cough and sore throat.
(I think I know where I got this from. hmmphh.) -_-
I really don't feel like doing any work right now.
Have been blog hopping since 12noon.
Took out my camera and began snapping random stuffs.

I dozed off while staring blankly at the monitor and was awaken by a rude knock on the door by 2 pupils.
Apparently, they forgot to take their pencil cases after their class in the morning.
Geez.
It's 3pm right now.
1 hr 30 mins more to go.

Bye bye.

Dates

25th-26th July 2009
Amin called to ask me out on a movie date.
I wanted to watch "The Hangover", and there was a sneak preview that weekend.
We decided to watch it at midnight.
I likey-likey that movie.

27th July 2009
Plan: Visit Rini at hospital & celebrate very mini and very hush-hush advance birthday.
Met Zuraida and Bayah at Novena after work.
Sadly, Tini and Yati can't make it.

Please don't mind the dark video, it was already night and we tried to keep our volume super low as we were trying to 'respect' the other patients.
But we can't stop giggle 'cos it's really weird to sing a birthday song very softly.

28th July 2009
In the morning, I received an email from Seoul Garden stating that as a member, I get to enjoy 50% off for Ladies Night @ Seoul Garden.
Straight away, I texted Amin about it.

Amin: When wana go?
Huda: 1st week of August?
Amin: Tonight uh sayang? Hehehe :D
Huda: Wahh...ok uh ok uh.So long seh never eat there.
Amin: Ok set. See ya later.

With that, I remained happy for the rest of my working hours.
I was super excited about it.
I even called Seoul Garden to check on the promotion and was told that only ladies get to enjoy the 50% off, but fret not, the man will get the 10% off upon presentation of the membership card.
So, we get to enjoy 60% off the total bill!
Niceee!

Till then,

HIS guidance.

Of late, many bad things have been happening to my family.
I took urgent leave for 2 days due to some uncalled for situations, in which I will not elaborate.
Looking back, I really wonder what went wrong.

I doubt it's my parents.
Both of them are almost a saint.
Pious, generous and always think of others before self.

Which leave me to only one thing to blame.
Us, the kids.
Yes, Huda, Arif and Rauda.

I seriously blame myself, my brother and my sister for these mishaps that happened.
Why?
This is because, we are not like our parents.

Religious matters are looked at very lightly.
I can't remember the last time I really, really pray for 5 times a day.
Sometimes, I do stuffs without sincerity.
And I do not put others before me, unless they are my mum,dad or siblings.

What I am trying to say is that, no point having the parents do the religious stuffs but the kids don't.
Maybe, this is HIS way of telling me that I need to buck up on my religious practices.
I know I will.
Soon.

Bye.

Date with my bestfriend, Zuraida.

Zuraida called me at 9.15am and asked if I would like to watch "Harry Potter" at the movies at 10.45am.

I was kinda lazy at first, but jumped at the chance of going out with her alone.
This is because, it has been a really, really long time since we both had a date; just the 2 of us.

So I sprang out of bed, took my towel and toiletries and stormed(stormed?ok jangan nak drama eh Huda, tsk tsk) to the bathroom.

It was the fastest showering and changing I ever achieved eversince I hit puberty.
Seriously.
Even mum was amazed.

I was already making my way to the bus stop at 9.55am.
Yes, no kidding.
Yey to me!

After movie, we went for lunch and chill at Starbucks.
And my, we talked alot.
Really alot.
It was a really nice and quality date.
I really miss these times.

We went home early as Zuraida needs to meet someone and I was in a mood to jog.
So, when I got home, removed my makeup, washed my face, slipped into my jogging attire and headed to the normal jogging area.
And I managed to jogged 4000m (4km) non-stop!
Yey!!

Even I surprised myself.
Eventhough at the end of the run I felt like fainting (ok, drama again!), I was elated with the success!
Yey!

Bye bye!
Ps: I miss someone. :(

BOTOK BOTOX or what!!!

This is really weird and funny!
I just finish my first class with a group of well behaved primary 5 pupils.
From the beginning of the class, I noticed this girl kept looking at me.
More like scrutinising.

I just ignore it.
Then, towards the end of the class, this particular girl tapped me on the shoulder and sheepishly ask me, "Miss Huda, can I ask you something?", and she looked around.
I said, "Yeah, okay. What is it?"
She even told her friend to not be a busybody and don't try to hear what she wanted to ask me.

Here's the question:
"You do botox is it?", said with a very innocent and curious face.

My reaction:
Eyes wide open, mouth shaped like an 'O' and i started to laugh.
I thought she was just joking, but she expected answer to the question.
It took me around 2-3 minutes to compose myself and I answered, "No dear, I don't do botox. I just go for frequent facials."

She said,"Oh okay, but I really like your nose (and she started to hold her nose, which was perfectly fine), I thought you do botox. Your nose very nice uh cher, original is it?"

Ya Allah, budak ni.

"Yes, it is. Now pack your things and queue up like the rest of your classmates", I said.
While she trudged to the queue line, she was discussing this topic with her friends.

My thought was: Wow! An 11 year old, primary 5 kid knows about botox? Already? Geez!! What was I doing when I was an 11 year old? Back then, I was still listening to every Spice girls songs! Memorising all the National Day songs, especially 'Home' and wore any clothes my mum bought me. Oh my, time has really, really change.

Nonetheless, it was a pleasant surprise to hear that comment.
I do take that as a compliment, thank you.
All the hundreds of dollars spent on SK-II facials and products was really worth it!
So come on people, lets SK-II together!!
Bye bye.

Come lets save money people!

From Canberra Secondary to St. Gabriel Primary and now to Hong Wen School.
Just one simple reason.
The schools simply do not like the company.
Geez...so do I.

So anyway, the staffs at Hong Wen School is great.
Right on my first day, I felt very much welcomed.
So welcomed that the VP herself came over to my desk and introduced herself.
Really, I'm not kidding.
She is so friendly.
Even the HOD of IT is friendly and helpful.
Unlike the likes that I have worked with previously.

However, I am always so sleepy in the morning because I have to wake up at 5am.
My working hours are as such: Monday-Friday, 7.30am to 4.30am pm (thanks Arynne), reporting time (latest 7.15am).
Like everyday.

Home location: Yishun
School location: 10 Towner Road

The travelling bit is such a Hassle.
With a capital H.

My everyday transport ordeal:
Bus 806 - Yishun Mrt St. - Bishan Mrt St. (Transfer to circle line) - Serangoon (Transfer to North East Line) - Boon Keng - 10-15 mins walk to school.
*I know Rini is quacking at me right now*

And what's worse is that, all the travel is short distance, so I do not even get the chance to steal some nap on the train or bus.
Don't let me start with the travel expenditure.

Nonetheless, I am thankful that I still have a job and am receiving my monthly payment.
I've start saving religiously too!
I even cut my daily allowance to *GASPS*- $4, and yes this includes Saturday and Sunday.
I thought I can't survive with that little money.
But hey... so far so good.

With monthly facial, Hari Raya on the way, holiday at the end of the year...it better be good.
And who knows....engagement in the near future or what...
Hahahahaha!

Bye bye.
